Dr. Organic is a leading UK certified organic beauty brand, with skincare, bodycare, haircare, and dental products. The brand is already well established across retail, wholesale, and Amazon, and is the first brand in the TOCG group.
Before working with craftberry
Dr. Organic already had recognition, distribution, and shelf presence across the UK and Europe, and Amazon.
The gap was the brand's own DTC channel, where sales represented only a small fraction of the business, and the website operated more like a brochure than a store.
Beauty is a category our team at craftberry knows well. As a beauty and cosmetics Shopify agency, we have built and migrated skincare brands operating across the same mix of retail, wholesale, and direct commerce as Dr. Organic.
Our mission was to make Dr. Organic's own store commercially meaningful and turn it into a profitable brand-building and authority hub.
A migration built around data integrity and repeatability
From our experience at craftberry, the difficult part of a replatforming project is rarely moving the visible storefront.
It is protecting the catalogue, customer history, and operational foundations behind it.
Dr. Organic's existing store ran on WordPress.
Our Shopify migration experts, transfered the full catalogue of around 200 products to Shopify, together with customer accounts and order history, preserving the records and relationships the business had already built.
The new Shopify storefront is now live, while Dr. Organic prepares to activate direct-to-consumer purchasing.
During this transition, customers can explore the new experience on Shopify, with product purchase links currently directing to Amazon.
Because the project also needed to support the wider TOCG group, we built the Shopify foundation with repeatability in mind.
The next brands in the group can launch from the same foundation instead of rebuilding the same infrastructure from scratch.
One storefront, built for multiple markets
Dr. Organic operates across the UK and Europe, with reach into the Middle East.
The store supports GBP and EUR, alongside English, German, French, Dutch, and Norwegian.
Rather than fragmenting the direct business across multiple sites, the craftberry team configured Shopify Markets so a single storefront could serve these markets, currencies, and languages.
For the internal team, that means one commerce foundation to manage as the brand expands into more distributor markets.
For customers, it means a storefront that can meet them in the right language and currency.
Designing the buying journey around confidence and value
Once the platform and market architecture were in place, the focus shifted to the storefront experience.
craftberry's UI/UX designers began by researching Dr. Organic's competitors, understanding customer concerns, and defining the overall visual direction for the new store.
Through conversations with the brand and several rounds of iteration, we developed that direction further and designed the core pages around it.
We rebuilt the product pages around the information shoppers need to make a confident decision, with clearer imagery, ingredient detail, reviews, and user-generated content positioned close to the add-to-cart action.
To support higher average order value, we created structured bundle offers and rebuilt the cart drawer usign ecommerce best practices.
The homepage was designed around Dr. Organic's certifications, ingredients, and ethical standards, giving first-time visitors a clearer understanding of the brand before they reach a product.
Our value added
craftberry migrated Dr. Organic to Shopify, preserved its catalogue and customer data, configured a multi-market storefront, and built a direct commerce foundation designed to support stronger brand-building and future DTC growth.
