Founded in 2020, PLAMEXS is one of Europe's trusted destinations for authenticated pre-owned luxury. Their catalogue covers designer handbags, watches, and accessories from Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and 20+ other premium brands.
The problem with the old setup
PLAMEXS launched their first online store in 2020, on the platform CloudCart.
At that time, the brand thought it was an efficient decision, especially since they were just starting to sell online.
By 2025, the platform was becoming an obstacle to PLAMEXS’ business goals.
One of these goals was expanding into new European markets.
Selling in Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden on CloudCart would have meant a separate storefront for each market.
And from there, fragmented inventory management, duplicated workflows, and a maintenance overhead that would grow with every new market.
Shopify's native multi-market architecture handles all of these constraints within a single back-end.
As an established Shopify Plus agency, our team has established a diverse portfolio through working with Shopify luxury brands.
We were prepared to execute a migration precise enough to carry over five years of order history, customer accounts, and organic search equity.
Moving five years of date without losing a thing
The migration preceded everything. Before the craftberry team began scoping a single design decision, we established what had to arrive at the other end of the transfer.
900 orders, 1,500 customer accounts, 1,700 products, and a blog archive - this is all the data we needed to transfer seamlessly.
At craftberry, we have extensive experience with complex Shopify migrations.
Our seasoned Shopify developers ran the full data transfer and built redirect maps across every existing URL.
PLAMEXS launched on Shopify with its full commercial history in place and ready to sell.
Redesigning for a high-trusted purchase
Pre-owned luxury is a category where trust determines whether a transaction happens at all.
A customer considering a four-figure bag on a screen cannot inspect the item or verify the authentication themselves.
The design has to resolve that pressure before it becomes a reason to leave.
Our senior designers began with a full research phase covering GA4 data, Hotjar heatmaps, session recordings, and a competitive audit of the most credible luxury resale platforms.
The findings shaped our creative direction.
We built the new PLAMEX store on a clean white base, with generous breathing room and large product photography.
The final design answers objections in the order a considered buyer raises them.
Six markets, one back-end
Configuring six European markets is an important task that requires localised pricing, territory-specific tax logic, language support, and more.
Our seasoned Shopify team configured the full multi-market architecture within one Shopify store, giving PLAMEXS centralised control across all six regions.
Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden - now all have a personalised shopping experience.
When the business is ready to expand further, adding a market happens quickly, easily and safely.
