KARMA started in 2019 as a Bulgarian womenswear label with a simple idea: to create clothes its own team wanted to wear. Its range grew to include KARMA for him and KARMA MINI, bringing men's and children's clothing into a brand now chosen by more than 100,000 customers.

KARMA had outgrown the store that built it

A broader catalogue, a wider audience, and plans for international growth placed new demands on KARMA's OpenCart store.

New visitors needed a clear route to relevant styles. Returning customers needed to find the latest drops and familiar designs in new colours. Both journeys had to remain straightforward as the catalogue expanded.

At the same time, KARMA was updating its colours, logo, packaging, and collections. The storefront needed to reflect the new identity and the business's scale.

KARMA partnered with craftberry for its Shopify migration from OpenCart. The project focused on improving the shopping experience and preparing the store for further growth in Bulgaria, Romania, and new markets.

Bringing KARMA's new identity into the storefront

We translated KARMA's updated identity into a Shopify design centred on the clothing and its styling.

Campaign photography and collection imagery establish the brand's visual direction. Product details and customer content complement those visuals, helping customers understand the pieces and see how they fit into everyday life.

A dedicated brand story introduces KARMA's origins and the work behind its collections.

Making the right collections easier to find

Data from GA4 and session recordings from Microsoft Clarity helped us plan KARMA's navigation and homepage.

We organised navigation around women, men, and kids, with direct access to New, Bestsellers, Sale, and Bundles. Customers can go straight to a relevant category or explore the latest releases and coordinated sets.

On the homepage, featured collections lead directly to product pages. Customer photos also link to the featured pieces, making it easy to find and buy the clothing worn by KARMA's community.

The brand's 4.8/5 rating and community of 100,000+ customers reassure shoppers early in the shopping journey.

Helping customers explore colours and complete looks

As a Shopify agency for fashion brands, we focused on making it easier for KARMA's customers to return.

For customers returning to a familiar style, the next choice is often colour. We displayed available colourways in product listings so customers can see their options before opening a product page.

Coordinated sets and bundles make it easier to shop for a complete outfit or find matching pieces for the family.

For seasonal launches and promotions, we created reusable landing-page templates that combine campaign imagery, featured products, and offers. KARMA's team can launch new campaigns without building each page from scratch.

One Shopify foundation for Bulgaria and Romania

International growth was part of the brief from the beginning.

Our Shopify development work addressed KARMA's requirements for its Bulgarian and Romanian markets, including EUR and RON pricing and content in Bulgarian, Romanian, and English.

Wholesale also needed a place in the storefront. A dedicated B2B page introduces physical retailers to KARMA's offer and gives them a direct way to contact the team about a partnership.

Keeping returns connected to the order

For a clothing brand, the customer experience continues when an item does not fit. KARMA's customers can request a return directly through their account, with each request linked to the relevant order.

This gives customers a clear starting point for handling a return after delivery.

With craftberry, KARMA moved from OpenCart to Shopify, building a storefront around its expanded range and the customers who return for it.
