Moving beyond the hurdles of WooCoomerce
Facing ongoing issues with WooCommerce, Überlube realized its limitations, especially in enabling international sales.
As a brand already successful on Amazon, they aimed to expand globally but were restricted by WooCommerce.
This challenge led Überlube to engage with craftberry. Together with Creative Corner- design, Brain Donors - marketing, and Eurodev - operating in Europe, we collectively launched their successful e-commerce transformation.
Creating a frictionless e-commerce experience

These challenges involved high customer friction, technical limitations, customizing their offerings to international audiences, and ensuring a seamless migration to Shopify.
The multitude of WooCommerce plugins slowed their storefront down and regularly broke it or caused technical obstacles.
Moreover, Überlube’s products fell into a gray area because Shopify considers them as medical. Therefore, Überlube is limited from using Shopify Markets and Shopify Payments - the catalysts to selling internationally.
Serving an international customer base, with different products available in varying regions, added complexity to the project.
Seamless Shopping on Two Continents
Our strategy for elevating Überlube’s online presence covered both technical and international market challenges.
Because Shopify Payments was not an option, we had to think about a payment gateway that would facilitate seamless transactions across regions.
Furthermore, we had to bypass the constraints caused by the inability to use Shopify Payments and create a custom solution that would allow customers to access location-based product selections.
Lastly, our team had to ensure flawless data transfer from their WooCommerce store to Shopify to prevent loss of crucial data like customer details, orders, and product information.
Overcoming Shopify Market Restrictions for Überlube’s global reach
Given Shopify Payments’s restrictions regarding medical products, we integrated Stripe as an alternative to Shopify payments.
To further erase the limitations with Shopify Markets, we established two separate Shopify stores. Each was crafted to serve a different customer base - one to USA and one to Europe.
This new set up involved linking the backend of these stores and setting up new pricing structures and currency options for each market.
Through these efforts, Überlube successfully bypassed Shopify's restrictions and experienced effective navigation across different regions.
Location-Based Product Selection
Implementing an app solution dynamically adjusted the available product selection based on the customer's location. Тhis step was to ensure that each customer could view only the products, specifically available in their region.
Precision in Data Migration
Our seamless transition process for Überlube involved a 100% accurate data transfer from WooCommerce to Shopify. The process ensured that every essential detail – from customer information to order histories and product specifics – was ported over to Shopify.
Upgrading to Shopify's Efficient Ecosystem
Migrating to Shopify, Überlube benefited from the platform's well-regulated third-party ecosystem, which is rigorously tested for optimal performance and no downtime.
Transitioning to Shopify, we resolved the WooCommerce plugin issue, providing a much faster, smoother interface with a reliable 99.99% uptime.
